If you’re looking for great one-way backlinks (the type search engines like Google love), then participating in “guest blogging” for prominent blogs in your niche is a great way to attain them.

Blogs are a powerful tool, and “guest blogging,” is a powerful tool given the fact that you not only achieve a one-way link from a popular and prominent blog, but the reproduction of the article itself – and even the notoriety gain from your post is a great way to foster more potential links to your website.

Backlinks Tip #2: Article Marketing

Using article directories with authority is a great way to submit content relevant to your niche for mass distribution, while also obtaining a one-way backlink in the process. While many webmasters shy away from article marketing because they believe it takes quite a bit of effort (e.g. writing the article itself) to obtain just one backlink, it is important to note that article you submit to article directories has the potential to be picked up by other republishers or aggregators that will also republish your link(s) as well on their websites.
